Better than expected Was looking for a compact fishing tool that would fit easily into a side pocket of my trekking pack. For the price, I figured what the heck, let’s see what it’s about. The reel is very small but held about 50′ of 15# line (3# diameter). Went out to a local pond and used a 1/4oz popper, cast was smooth and nearly sent it out the entire length, retrieve is a bit slow and keeping the rod righted is a bit difficult with the crank’s weight pulling it over to the side, but hooked into 14″…

Looked so cool I gave one as a gift to my brother, he uses it out of his Kayak and has caught several de Looked so cool I gave one to my brother as a joke for his new Kayak, to my surprise he took it out and caught three fish with it in 30+ minutes and they were decent eating size, He was fishing the mangroves near St.Pete, Fl. He loves the thing and says it is perfect for the Kayak which is limited when it comes to room for a regular size rod and reel. Happy, Happy, Happy……Think I’ll try the one I kept and see how good it works, they are made solid.
Better than expected I really enjoyed this fishing rod. I bought it on a whim to keep in my glove box. The reel has poor fit and finish, and the spool didn’t rotate without chewing up line between the spool edges and the reel body, but I took an ice fishing/crappie spinning reel, filed down the seat and I’m extremely pleased with the results. I use 4# braid and get good casts with lures up to 1/4 oz. You’re not going to land any steelhead with this thing, but my personal best is a 2# largemouth. The rod is…
