A FOREVER Classic I have owned this series of reel since I was 6 years old, and I’m 31 now, they have not quit. I own 4 of these in different sizes. The 1000 is plenty for your average freshwater fish under 3 pounds. The 2000 feels almost exactly the same but has a slightly bigger spool, very close in weight, feel, and ability to reel in a fish. I use mine with 4 lb. test line, sometimes up to 6 lb. test if I expect to hook a carp or larger trout. Pairs extremely well with Sufix line, and an ultralight action…
