Build qualtiy OK, but not the best design The build quality seems OK, but they’re not as nice to fish with as the Rapala brand pliers I had before these (dropped them in the lake). I thought the lanyard was from the holster to the pliers, but it’s a small loop that is intended to wrap around your wrist. Not convenient to have to insert your wrist every time you want to use the pliers so I don’t use it. The pliers themselves seem to be built well and the cutter cuts braided line great. Big Step Up From Hemostats! I just got these and my first impression is that are super cool pliers for a boat or pier angler. I have the 8 inchers, and there are a couple of features that are a step up from the plain old hemostats I was using previously. The description calls the lanyard that the pliers come with a “wrist lanyard,” but I am using it differently. I use the lanyard to attach the pliers to the sheath using the carabiner clip that also comes with them. An inshore fisherman like myself is doing things…
