hiker tested As a “hiking ” lantern I wanted to put this to a real test before writing a review. I just returned from a three day hike so I guess that qualifies. Having read other reviews, most of what I can say has probably already been said but here goes.
Pretty convenient light Pros:• Bright LED light for size (direct beam from top and lantern from sides)• Small (About the size of 2 hockey pucks stacked when collapses)• Seems to be pretty weatherproof so rain should not be an issue• Uses AA batteries so no weird expensive batteries to search for• Fairley sturdyCons:None really…. A seriously great little lantern! This is a seriously great little lantern! Very compact when folded down and still not very big when opened all the way. Very bright for a (single)? LED. I compared the light output to my 300 lumens lantern with 12 LEDs and this little lantern is just a shade less bright. I would guess? it to be around 250 lumens.
