Great concept but really needs a complete overhaul I should preface this review by stating that over the last 20 years I’ve acquired AT LEAST 15 backpacks from companies like Camelbak, Cabelas and Dueter and have used them to hike, bike, hunt and fish in many states across the country extensively during that time. A minimalist fisherman’s friend This pack is compact, light and perfectly laid out for a minimalist fly or spin Fisher. The drop down rod tube holders on each side are a great addition. I do a lot of hiking through low hanging tree limbs and such and while I carry my spinning rod in hand I can also carry my fly rod tube securely and still have room for my reel & fly boxes in case I want to switch.
