Pretty good, but not perfect On the good side, the clip on capabilities are awesome. I did not have any of them fall off after they were clipped on even when casting. The bells are easy to hear and work like they are supposed to. On the down side, the bells can detach from the spring and you should check them before use to make sure they are on solidly. It is pretty simple as they just screw onto the spring and can get loose. I found that after I got them on really well, I did not have further issues.
Can’t be beat for the price! I bought these to replace some similar alarm bells I bought a couple years ago, which I never really liked because you had to “screw them onto” the end of the fishing pole after each cast, and they broke in short order. These bells work FAR better, and cost the same. It attaches to the pole just like a clothesline clip – pinch the sides, put it around the pole, and let go. Easy! Takes 2 seconds to put it on or remove it. I can’t imagine how the plastic part would break unless you stepped on it,…
