Awesome rod This thing is the nicest, most well built rod I’ve ever owned and it only weight 5oz. I paired it with the Shakespeare synergy titanium microcast reel. Together it only weighs 10 ounces. I will gladly carry that in my pack in order to eat alpine fish in the back country. Built to last and excellent craftsmanship. Oh, and they don’t tell you in the description, but the handle extends out further too. It unscrews and almost doubles.
Had my doubts but was surprised with the quality and feel of the rod. I was on the fence about purchasing this rod since it came from China or Hong Kong. I took a chance and was surprised with the quality!! The rod pictured on the site shows 8 eyelets but mine had 6 (I purchased the 6.8ft rod and believe the one pictured on the site is the longer one). Also, what you can’t see in the pictures is that the rod handle extends an additional 6-8 inches which can be helpful in controlling the rod when bringing fish in. this is the best telesopic rod I know of This rod is well made, excellently designed and engineered. Bought the 6’8″, a tad stiff but very good action and extremely sensitive. The handle (below the reel) also extend telescopically for better balance and leverage. If you are cleaver, you can even custom balance the rod with weights, as the handle is hollow and has it’s own screw cap. Very happy with overall quality and feel of this rod.Did I mention it’s beautiful. 😉
